You outta try building a kit fox. I went to a tech high school for aviation and at the very beginning we started from scratch building it and had it done and in the air by graduation. It wasn't all the expensive and was a ton of fun working on it. There Under $20,000.

This isn't the one we built but its the same model. Ours looked exactly the same just in the school colors (Green, White, Yellow)

I like the Kitfox, but prefer the Just Aircraft Highlander. The Kitfox is heavier than the HIghlander and the Highlander has TONS more room inside with adjustable seats. Also, I really don't like the flap set up on the flaperons. They work great where roll response is concerned, but I don't like them as much when the flaps are deployed. I much prefer the regular flap/aileron set up. The Kitfox is a great flying airplane, though.
The one you have pictured is the latest version. I haven't flown one of those, but I do have some time on a Model III and a Model IV Classic.
The Kitfox is a great little airplane, but the one you have pictured has the tailwheel on the wrong end! LOL. I think the blue and white one you have pictured is actually the McBean's (Kitfox Current owners) personal plane and the factory demonstrator. -
Tailwheel on wrong end? Yea those pics are just from there website to give you an idea of what we built.

Yeah, I got it. I don't think my other post was very clear. I am familiar with Kitfox aircraft, and have flown two different models of Kitfoxes. The one that you posted is the newest model. The ones I flew were the older models 3 and 4. The one you pictured is pretty much a model 7. I think they call it the Super Sport now. The tailwheel comment was just a light hearted jab at guys who fly tricycle geared aircraft. How long ago did you build the Kitfox? I would guess it was a Model 4, one of the best ones ever, in my opinion. Sweet little plane. I have an old Kitfox Promotional video that has a little on a plane built by students at a trade school in it. I'll have to dig it out and see if it's the 'fox you're describing.
Do you still have an interest in aviation? -
we started in 2003 and finished in 2007. I'm not sure exactly what model it was.
Yea I still like aviation, I can't afford to fly anymore and stupid me didn't get my A&P license, I ended up working on cars. I should have thought about the pay cut between auto mechanic and aircraft Technician lol. And I'm also no longer in the USAF Auxiliary so I'm not around aviation anymore.
But only 159 more days and I can finally use my CDL I've been sitting on for 2 years. I think trucking will be a better fit for me anyway. I hope!

Seriously. I ride my motorcycle like my butt is on fire. At least 50 miles a day average. It keeps me sane.

Yeah, alot of HO enthusiasts have some elaborate layouts.
Mine isnt HO but I do have a layout that took over the office. LOL wife drew the line at the office. Seems I wanted it to run through the walls too.Attached Files:

So the live steam you are building is like the one that runs around the office,is that right?
Your office train looks like large scale. If you move it outside if you can you can get as big as the yard. I have a large scale train in 1/29 that I had in the basement but we are moving and it will soon move outside.
