By "fuel filters", do you mean the fuel-water separator?

    A few thoughts;

First you turn the key, you wait 10 to 15 seconds and then start the truck.

Second your gauges are general indicators, not ones used to diagnose a problem.

Third, was the "mechanic" an actual dealer mechanic or a company parts changer with no proper equipement to diagnose a difficult problem.

Fourth this sounds like a PNDB module problem, it was a common issue at one time but now it pops up every once in a while.

My truck's engine is the DD15 engine. My truck is a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia.

I was about to tell you the last six digits of my VIN number, but then I realized that that is information that could be used to identify me. I have a rule for myself that I never post any information on a message board that could be used to find my identity. If a member of this message board knows who my employer is and the last six digits of my VIN, they could tell my employer the last six digits of my VIN and my employer could look up what truck I drive and find out my identity, especially if any member of this message board worked for my employer as a mechanic or some other types of inside employee (like terminal manager). I am sure that my trucking company has the VIN number of all their trucks in a computer database.

Yeah I know that's how I am supposed to start the engine.

I know that looking at what the gauges do when the truck's engine stalls is not the IDEAL way to diagnose this problem. But that is all i have. SWM_TECH agreed with my logic that looking at the gauges when the truck's engine stalls might help me diagnose the problem. Maybe he works as a diesel mechanic. His screen name says "Tech" in it like maybe he is a diesel technician.

The mechanic was the mechanic at my trucking terminal, not the Freightliner dealership mechanic.

I don't even know what a PNDB module is, but okay.

OK that's fair, send it through PM.
Well you said you wait 3 seconds and then start it, I am saying 10 to 15 seconds.
Yours and his logic is flawed.

The gauges don't show what's going on at the ECM level unless it is a can bus problem. to properly diagnose the problem you will need to hook the truck up to a computer and see exactly whats going on.
So a parts changer, not someone who has been trained by FL or DD/Cummins. Take it to the dealer or a place that is a repair facility for the engine manufactuer.

It is one of the power distibution modules and I understand it is part of the ECM power system. The 2018 trucks had problems with it, there were about 7 years of problems by then.

That won't work because then you would have information that could be used to identify me.

That's the first time I have ever heard I should wait 10 to 15 seconds to start the truck's engine after turning the key to the on position.

What does ECM stand for? What does can bus mean?

Where the truck is repaired is not up to me. I am a company driver. I don't own the truck.

How do you know so much about how the truck's operate electronically? I thought that you are a truck driver like me, not a diesel mechanic.
