Talked to the mechanic at Knight shop before I left with a driver to get a loaner and they are doing the work there instead of the dealer cuz they would have had to tow my truck to Dayton from Columbus cuz my truck isn’t drivable. He said they were waiting on one more part to come in and will get working on it. Maybe only in the freightliner loaner til end of next week, I hope cuz I hate freightliner’s transmission.

Lucked out with a Colorado load off the WM yard. Left Yesterday and decided to run 40 to 287 since haven't been that way in years. Got up into Colorado this morning and a Farmer was burning one of his fields, don’t think it was a wild fire, and the smoke was thick and blowing across 287 to where you couldn’t see at all. Slowed down to a crawl and surprised the oversized load in front of me stopped right in the middle of it. Made it through safely though. Figured the state police would shut things down and have the fire put out at some point. Got pulled into the scale further down and got a level 3 because our safety score is high he said. Passed and on my way again. Load of windows going to a construction site outside the Denver area. Contact I had to call for delivery instructions said going to blind side off the main street onto side street to unload, should be fun since be and this freightliner do not get along in reverse. Hope my Volvo gets fixed this week. Much as I hate the freightliner’s transmission it is better than sitting in a hotel room getting only 150 a day.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've been to or through Colorado in the 8 years I've been with Abilene, and I'd have fingers left over.

Praying my Volvo gets fixed this week. This freightliner is a nightmare to back into tight spaces when gotta do a 90. Truck lurched and shook so violently trying to go easy and slow it threw my microwave across the sleeper and everything flew out of the cabinets too. Thankfully my tv and ps5 survived. This DT-12 AMT sucks going backwards anything but a straight back.

Well, the windows were stacked on 2x4s nailed to the floor strapped to the trailer walls with rope. I brought my pocket knife with me in this loaner truck but not my long crowbar or hammer. I literally brought bare minimum cuz I didn’t want to clutter up the driver’s truck that picked me up. They trying to see about getting me another trailer, lol!
