The bad places happen. While OTR I was in Hunts Point almost monthly. Now that I am local I am delivering gas to stations in East Buffalo nightly. It's not much better. Nothing beats a carload of crack smokers watching you work for a half hour.
I don't worry much though. I mind my own business and if they don't they will have to explain that half-inch entrance wound to the ER staff.Last edited: Apr 14, 2010

In my honest opionion I can tell you that at any age under 21 its extremely difficult to find a trucking job. Heck I beat peoples doors down for months on end trying to find a job. Your best bet is to just call local companies in your phone book or look into a harvesting crew. Best of luck to you.

Wow lots of helpful info here and thank you to everyone. So is there a good chance that I will get hired on to any company once I am 21 and got my CDL? Also, I guess if you go through there training to get a CDL they will offer you a job right? Thanks!

Yes like i said before if you can get it early and i know its hard to find stuff before your 21 but it can be done, i did it, then you go into another company when you are 21 and already have a year of experience under your belt there will be many doors open to you.
