I agree with everyone! , I quit using ethonal gas on my small engines 2 years ago but still use stabil year around and don't run my engines dry unless they are being stored more than 6 months.
As tramm said I fire up my generators and deere at least every 30 days for 20 minutes or so and haven't had a carb issue since on anything.

Overkill I know but nothing pisses me off more than a well maintained engine that won't run ....my snowblower is stored from April to late October so I do run it out of gas and then I pull the carb bowl plug draining any remaining gas and add a small amount of automatic transmission fluid to the tank to fill the bowl , then I pull it over a few times to suck it up into the emulsion tube and jet .
In late fall I drain the carb of the atf and refill with gas .
It will smoke like a cold started 8v71 Detroit for a minute when stated then clear up and run perfectly...with no carb issues .

Dad was a Stihl guy his whole life, and my chainsaw is a Stihl. I have a Husqvarna weedeater though, and I love it. Burns half the gas his Stihl does, comparable power, much lighter, and has a suspension handle so very little vibration. Had mine 6-7 years now, and it’s never puked yet. One thing I have heard though, is NEVER buy a Hasqvarna from a box store. They are made cheaper than those from a small engine shop dealer. After I heard that I went to my local Rural King and looked at them there, and there are actually some small differences even on identical models.

I try not to buy anything that I’m gonna have to use from a Box store— Mom and Pop’s are where it’s at

She’s done a lot of videos where she gets a customers saw and it won’t rev properly she dumps the trufuel and puts a mixed fuel . It fires right up and revs properly. Apparently quality control is all over the place with trufuel.. another helpful tip was when your buying non ethanol fuel from a dispenser that does multi grades through one hose put a few bucks in your car before filling your jerry can . If the last person bought ethanol the hose holds about 1/2 a gallon.

That’s interesting. I’ve never had a problem. The reason I buy it is because it’s nonethanol and I don’t use the saw often. So I figured it had a longer shelf life and I don’t have a station nearby that sales non ethanol. I wonder if people are putting 40:1 in something that needs 50:1 or vice versa. Or if that would even cause a problem. Not a big difference

Had a plumber put in a new toilet and dispose of my old toilet. I paid for the toilet. Labor and the cost for them to drive out (about half an hour on Google maps if they were coming directly from their physical business location) was $325. It took them half an hour to take the old toilet out and put the new one in.

Lowes is charging around $300 but they state they won't fix anything if something is out of the ordinary when installing a new toilet, so the plumber being there was worth the extra $25.

So, let's say for the installation of this toilet:

    1. 30 minute "deadhead" miles from business to house
    2. 30 minutes altogether to talk to me briefly when they arrived, take out old one, install new one, send electronic link to pay, talk to me briefly when they left
    3. Let's be generous and give them 1 hour for first driving to the local dump and then second properly disposing of the old toilet there
    4. 30 minutes "deadhead miles" driving from dump to the next job site or to company HQ (which was just one of the guys personal homes lol)

2.5 hours worth of work including all "deadhead miles". $325. Bare minimal tools.

    325/2.5 = $130 per hour

    Wow.

    Bzinger, this is all you.

The moral of this story? The hell with trucking, become a plumber.
