Past 3 weeks have been complete crap for sure. At least on flatbed side. I’ve been doing under 500 mile runs averaging decent revenue, however it’s a lot of extra work, tarp strap etc. as long as people continue paying stupid high income taxes politicians will continue taking advantage of them. Nothing better than quick easy money.
Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Realistically it’s time to admit it won’t get better.
Theres so many things wrong with this industry that rates and fuel are literally just the tip of the ice berg
anyone trying to switch it out is just lying to themselvesthatsright Thanks this. -
It’s slow around here. Local work is flooded with Trucks. All Foreign Owners and Drivers. Thursday I drove 20 minutes delivered a Chrysler load. Stuck in dock for 30 minutes. Everyone was so friendly, sat 6 hrs by the river, waiting on a load that never happened. Took a walk on the river front, Bass were jumping, wishing I had my fishing pole. Took a couple naps. Friday sat around the yard all day, Only got 41 hrs this week. Bored out of my skull. I can’t take it much longer. It’s rough out here.

Here are my loads since I last posted them. 2.32 per mile on all miles (with the exception of miles deadheaded for home time). It is around what I was doing last year. I just tallied up the average and was quite surprised as this year feels so much worse. 48ft flat

I think other parts of the market are starting to hurt. Spent the first part of the morning changing filters on the truck and reefer and adjusting ride height. in that hellacious Gulfport temperatures I needed a shower immediately. So instead of just spending almost $20 on a shower at the truckstop and idling all day and all night until my next load. I ended up getting a hotel room next-door at the comfort Inn. $64 out the door for a king Suite. So instead of spending more money on idling, shower, I’m drinking beers and eating toffifays in the ac! it might just be my outlook, but I think a lot of people burnt through the money and credit cards and things are slow.
