Wellington strip club visitor left baby alone in car

A man has been arrested after police found his baby alone in his car while he was visiting a Wellington strip club.

Police were contacted after a member of the public spotted the baby in a car parked near Courtenay Place, in the central city, about 3am.
They broke into the car and took the baby to hospital.
The 42-year-old father was discovered a short time later in a strip club and was arrested.
Police spokeswoman Elizabeth Young said the man was initially charged on an outstanding arrest warrant, but would face a further charge of leaving a child under 14 without reasonable supervision

Makes me sick to think of what COULD have happened to that poor child.You can bet he wouldn't have left his wallet,money or whatever in plain site in that car,but he would leave his child.And at a bar/strip club?Disgusting.

same thing happened in Dallas this week, except there were two kids in the car while dad went in for a cold one. A wrecker driver called the cops after finding the car parked.
