Air Products fires a lot of drivers due to safety reasons.
#1 reason is being on your phone while driving. Texting etc.
#2 Accidents.
Plus it also looks like we are always hiring because drivers go through the hiring process and then fail the road test. Some get hire and don’t even show up.

From what I've read so far, seems like Cryo companies are itching to fire drivers. I get if it's something big, but little things seem to getting drivers fired.
At what point does the company actually lose money, time and energy firing somebody, only to replace them with somebody new who needs training?? Entire concept seems backwards...viper822004 Thanks this. -

You need to change that attitude before you get here. These companies pay up a lot of money so that you’re the safest driver out here. Paying bonuses from $1800 and up every quarter just so you don’t touch that phone. But if you rather text and drive then this is not going to be for you. At least not with AP, Airgas, and Linde. Just the truth

Before I came to Air Products I was at a company where safety wasn’t a priority. I was constantly on the phone, texting and driving, watching Netflix.
I am glad I switched. Air Products changed me. I don’t even text and drive on my personal car!! You begin to noticed how that single call and text can wait and nothing is more important than going home the same way you came in. Just my opinion driver.Luccc, scythe08 and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
Those who fails road tests. Probably shouldn't even drive a truck. Since it's the easiest thing to do. Not like it's a zero driving experience jobscythe08, lual and viper822004 Thank this.

I use my phone to stream podcasts and SiriusXM, but I assume AP and others wouldn't care whether it's something legit like that or something undesirable like texting or watching videos.
So, do they provide SXM service in the trucks, or allow drivers to install a SXM radio?viper822004 and lual Thank this.
