What if it Snows?

man u got one of them that hard on ya , requires you to lift the cut . Need one that is hinged for vertical action of the splitter , roll it onto the metal foot , splitter comes straight down . It is still better than a 20lb hand swung maul .

 

Good idea , aint none too impressed with how JD been acting for last several years .

 

I shy away from any criminal activities or those type of individuals. There's no future in it. Otherwise I would not be employed at the Youth services job.

 

I built it myself ten years ago. Cost me less than $300 total back then. I did consider building it to tilt up, as you describe, but decided against it as the vast majority of the wood I use is less than 20" diameter.





Since then I have put about $300 in upgrades into it... Larger diameter ram (increases the tonage) and new rims and used tires that actually hold air (the originals were 14 ply, bias ply, on 16.5" rims).



And this is another that I built for my mother-in-law...




Between the 2 of them they have split well over 100 cord of wood.
