Lol, no just a deep rooted fear of hitting something like a bridge...I absolutely hate running overweight.
Wide I love and can do all day everyday and have run out to 24 feet wide, no problem, but put me tall and I hate it lolcke, OldeSkool, broke down plumber and 5 others Thank this. -

I don't know about others but I can pretty easily tell if somethings overheight by looking at it if it's over 14ft. Just have to know the height of your tractor and you should be able to eye ball it from there. The high point on my truck is the stacks and light bar at 12'6". So pretty easy to judge if something is about a foot taller that it's legal.
These guys slamming into bridges almost always have a full height sleeper so the top of the tractor should be 13'4" - 13'6". If it's over that it's too tall.
I have a 20ft height stick in my truck. Had a bunch of 16+ft loads a while back so spent the extra $40 for the taller stick. Easily worth the $200 to know exact height of tall loads. -
