Glad you didn't say how much Loves is charging you for those AGM's. Probably give us all heart attacks. Please shop around when you need batteries, most parts. Any truck stop is going to send you to the poor house in short order.

Bean Jr. and 86scotty Thank this.

You're a brave ( woman?) letting Love's wrench on your truck.

I've experienced the issue where the AC doesn't trigger and for me it was because I was running a computer off of the inverter. My only assumption is that it caused electrical interference which didn't allow the controls to properly communicate over the bus. Do you have any noisy electronics running? That would be electrically noisy. When I turned off the computer the AC started immediately.

Mine was pretty much the same truck.

AGM or FLA, as long as they're deep cycle. If you really plan on using the EPU you can't just use regular starting batteries.

    Update:

Had 4 AGM’s installed yesterday. Now all 8 batteries are AGM’s, same brand, same type. So far, no more electrical issues as explained above. As suggested, DO NOT MIX BATTERY TYPES (FLA/AGM) as was previously explained.

Waaaaait a minute, I thought I recognized you, how did the vibration thing work out? I thought we told you to stay away from those vultures:dontknow: I realize Loves may be convenient, but a trusted shop, that specializes in those things, is best, not work performed by mechanics who were cleaning dishes the day before. We're only trying to help, and you are certainly getting an education, reasons many sold their trucks and drive company trucks, today, you can't win. Repairs will do you in, and they aren't a '69 Kenworth anymore, it takes a qualified person, and I doubt Loves cares one way or the other. Good luck.

Check your inverter settings to make sure they are set for AGM charging pattern. In this video he is having a different issue but he explains changing the settings pretty well. The video shows his battery charge pattern is set for flooded type battery (Fl) You want Absorbed Glass Mat setting (Ag). I think it defaults to Fl if it gets reset for whatever reason. It’s a very different charging pattern for AGM batteries.
