I turn down the job I had family emergency someone had a heart attack and I am living off my farm land got couple of hectares and my uncle paid $500 a month for truck insurance so we can get that going as owner operator he is.

I don't try to push it more than 1 hr personally depending on the my maximum reset time. Standard resets is what most trucking companies want so 1 hr drive max is reasonable. But if a Trucker has to drive 3 to 4 hrs home for a standard reset they're not getting much of a reset. It's a life choice technically if you care to have a life outside trucking or not. For some who put trucking only as their social life usually don't mine resetting in their trucks yearly.

There is a big difference between a reset and an actual home time.
