The way to fix that when I was working on a fly in fly out basis I'd be away for 4 weeks and home for 2 weeks working out at the Iron Ore mines in Western Australia, is just disconnect your battery, although a few years back I had a car placed in storage the battery I had in that lasted for well over 3 years. The only issue with disconnecting the battery is you have to reprogram your radio.

Here, let me quote it for you.

You tell us what company that was since you're the one who mentioned it.

He seems to have gone incommunicado, unless he's gone to that great troll farm in the sky. But have no fear, because Jesus shall rise again!!!!

I don't try to push it more than 1 hr personally depending on the my maximum reset time. Standard resets is what most trucking companies want so 1 hr drive max is reasonable. But if a Trucker has to drive 3 to 4 hrs home for a standard reset they're not getting much of a reset. It's a life choice technically if you care to have a life outside trucking or not. For some who put trucking only as their social life usually don't mine resetting in their trucks yearly.

There is a big difference between a reset and an actual home time.
