This is a no win situation. You need to sell the truck allowing your brother to go back to company driving and you to get back to your life.

See a CPA before you do anything as others have suggested.

Your brother sounds exactly like a typical truck driver. Tell your brother it's over and your getting out. You DO NOT have a business you have what we call in the real estate business an alligator. Something that eats up all your cash. Close everything and sell the truck asap. You are losing a fortune and it will only get worse. Close down immediately and get out from under this nightmare. Here is the real problem driving a truck is not a business it's a job. Your brother is your typical lazy steering wheel holder NOT a business person. Even if he was a smart business person , 1 man 1 truck does not a business make its still just a job. The faster you get out the less damage you will be forced to pay for.

Fire your brother and find a driver that’s willing to run hard, or sell everything and take a loss.

Your brother sounds like a waste of time. And now a days in this business you need to be proactive or else you will sink below zeon dollars. Freight down on the load boards since the beginning of 2023 and I don't see it getting much better over the next year. Possibly 2025 but with a brother who doesn't want to do much regarding loads and just sit and drive. It's a loss.

Sell the truck just like everyone else says. There’s no way you can keep doing this. You can’t ruin your life for a lazy brother who won’t take responsibility. There’s plenty of driving options for him if he has a pulse and a CDL. He’ll be just fine.

"Just looking for advice on how to get things better."

Things won't get better until nurses stop buying trucks for their brothers.
