I’ve given that example. 1.5 mpg or better than the hoods with 65k payloads in the Northwest.

The original post never said what his trucks do. He just asked a question. Everyone can keep throwing out all the “yeah but” scenarios since we don’t know.

    Oxbow and ducnut Thank this.

Join the aforementioned “9+” FB group, where all the info gets posted. These guys hide nothing.

Didn’t pull any weight or any hills.

I’m governed at 67mph and Mark has sailed by me, coming out of Chicago. I’m nowhere close to this, pulling the same load.

Clearly, you can’t read, when 45K doesn’t register as a full load.

45k isn’t a full load. At least in my world.

Yeah that’s a breath of fresh air. I have 41k on the deck right now and feel like doing cartwheels!

different things work for different business models
Attempting to brush with broad strokes “this type of equipment is stupid and noone should have it” across an entire industry is laughable regardless of the defined parameters.
Lotta rules in trucking; lot of them don’t really apply to a lot of trucking when you think about how different industries utilize trucks, and in different geographic areas.
There is no one size fits all in this world.

Different things matter more in different applications.
Bragging on mpg for otr van work doesn’t impress someone that doesn’t need to factor that into the equation/
