Those 1099 jobs are great for people that have serious problems in their background and can't find driving jobs elsewhere.

 

Some are crooked just as some W-2 companies are crooked.
Even working for W-2 companies most drivers check and double check their paychecks looking for errors and often do find errors. Errors on detention pay, stop pay, etc.

 

There are companies you could go to. You go that route if you have a lot of capital. You still gotta go by the regulations. My company would probably hire you, they can be forgiving about one's past. Many of us over here have skeletons. They will send you to get a physical though. It's just how they do things. You may or may not have to get a sleep study. I don't know what the doctor will say.
