I always carry 2 as if you break one you’re screwed if no one is around
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
I'm a steering wheel holder.
Chains, binders, winch bars, and throwing tarps....you could break a nail handling that stuff. -
See, your showing just how rookie you are.
Winch bar on the binder, no exceptions
Cheater on the winch bar... Safety first n allcke, wore out, Deere hunter and 3 others Thank this. -
If you need extra length you probably should change the way it's done instead of just adding more leverage.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

What's the point of having all these bars if I can't put them all together and break some ####.

The bar I use on a daily basis is pushing 20 years. The back up one I carry is probably 10 years old. And the company one is may 6 or 7. Yep, carry 3, the company one has the lever box in it, have 4 lever binders for that in case thing, Otherwise all ratchet.

I get it, but I'm kinda small statured and generally weak. It's just plain hard to get the binders closed.
Sometimes I'll throw a strap over the cheater and back down to the winch. Then grab my extra bar and tighten the winch down till the binder closes.
Works good till the strap slips and launches my cheater, but it don't happen often.
Always have my hard hat on for safetycke, Deere hunter, Feedman and 3 others Thank this. -
Switch to screw style binders. If you keep them clean and lubed they’re great.Bean Jr. Thanks this.
