Yeah good for them. Those are good paying jobs filled by Americans. The companies paying the wages are all foreign based internationals. A 15% increase on the cost of consumer goods has to be a wild exaggeration.

I dunno. Is it even a thing anymore with all the point and click booking along with AI bot-brokers? Do they even entertain counters or just hang up?

Good for them for winning the battle but I can't see them winning the war on technological advancement. The resulting increase was based not on the business merit but skirmishes over the toilet paper one month before the election day.

Not really based on the recent toilet paper shortage. Let's be honest here all costs have gone up a lot since the pandemic. The shipping companies paid the longshoremen a raise so their business will continue humming along just fine and yeah technology will prevail eventually. They got themselves another 6 years. At some point after this November business is going to turn. Shipping will be booming again.

80 semi-trucks tires slashed at Tennessee truck stop, deputies say
Deputies say there were 56 tires damaged in total and estimate costs to be $500 per tire

Madison County Sheriff’s office in Tennessee is investigating tire vandalism at a TA Travel Center where more than 80 semi-trucks reportedly had their tires slashed.

The deputies responded to a call from the travel center in western Madison County at 8 a.m. on Sep. 26, after a report of several trucks belonging to different agencies being vandalized, resulting in flat tires.

When deputies responded, they found several small punctures in the outer sidewall of each of the tires and that they all had the same puncture marks. One of the trucks had all 18 of its tires deflated, according to the sheriff’s office.

If it's more efficient we aren't going to see the gains. The shipping companies profited billions. Under a dozen companies control 85% of the worlds freight. Black Rock buys up subdivisions. Bill Gates is the largest farm land owner in America. Chinese government owns a bunch of pig production and meat packing plants in the USA. So the dock workers work 60 hours a week and make good money. At least someone normal gets to see better than average money.

They're foot soldiers for their puppet masters. They're not normal by any means.
