1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Isky, we went to orientation together for KLLM, March 17, 2009 I beleive. Am interested to know how things went with you while with that company. I quit them Oct. 28,2009 after repeatedly telling them I could not survive on 1200-1400 miles per week which is all I ever got the whole time I was with them. Told them I didn't want to have to quit but would have to if they couldn't do better than that. They couldn't. I've talked to one other guy about your age that we went to orientation with and he told me he had been getting 2300 miles per week and up and was now already driving regional. Am interested in what miles you were getting as I am truely starting to feel like I was discriminated against because of my age (59 at that time-am now 60) not just because of the miles they were giving me but because of things that were said to me while I was there like, "Lets face it, Twisted, you're going to be retiring soon." That's funny, I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS GOING TO BE RETIRING SOON!!! If you'll remember, I was the oldest one in orientation. Hope to hear from you. Thanks

Thanks for your reply, Isky. Not getting another trainer with KLLM may have been the best thing that could happen to you. I'm currently looking for another job, preferably local, but may have to go OTR again. If I end up getting the same miles as I did with them, I'm gonna start thinkin' the whole truck driving experience is just a scam on new driver's. If that's the case, I sure have spent a lot of time, money, and serious effort to find that out. Good luck and don't be shy of keepin' in touch.

Isky, FFE called me about a position here in Georgia that is a combo of Regional/Local work. I would call them if I were you too see if they still have that position open. The lady's name that called me is Sylvia. Hope that helps.
