My back hurts just looking at the picture. Good thing none of them came off the trailer, that would probably flatten somebody's tire. Couldn't imagine hitting one of those in the road on my motorcycle.

I was EXTREMELY lucky that I didn’t lose any, even as I was rearranging them I was worried if one went over the side I’d never be able to pick it back up. These things move around somewhat as they nest. I had already retightened the straps twice in about the first 20 miles. Then the straps appeared to be staying fairly tight for about the next hour. This was the rear pile so I couldn’t really see the stuff working its way out of the center. I’ve hauled these before and previously put a piece of dunnage across the top of all 3 stacks (something I should’ve done yesterday)
Notice that the stuff on the return trip is banded, something that helps tremendously
I should add that I was in a rest area doing the rearranging when another driver took pity on me and climbed up to help
THANK YOU FRIEND! -
Ouch…

Rough cut hemlock lumber and grade stakes in Berlin New Hampshire. Sky starting to look like winter. I wanted to have my truck in the picture since I just washed it, but not sure my company would approve and I don’t want to get in trouble.

Time to bale that hay, oh wait I’m a little early…11’11” wide on the back machine but thankfully only going to KS so no crazy routing for a change. -
After looking at that, I feel for you.
It would appear that since a header was out of the question, either cross strapping across front and back would have helped, or strapping three straps around each level front and back would have been needed to lock those in place. I noticed even though it has strapping, you added extra straps to all those return load piles.
Better safe than sore-y.
