My sister told me many people have been trying to contact me on Facebook for years. She told them I don't have a Facebook account. You're right Bryan21384.

Yea after all of the pain FB has caused, I got rid of EVERY social media account and also my family back in 2019, and honestly, I don't miss a single thing about it. I have three wonderful kids, and I don't want them to experience what I have been through for expressing my thoughts that's not leftist leaning. Although I didn't go to jail, they did throw the book at me with 5 yrs probation, counseling, parenting classes, 5k fine, and also the worst of them all, a Felony charge that will stay with me.

BUT, I did get some great news yesterday. After three weeks of waiting for all the background and employment checks, SWIFT offered me a job and I accepted. I got my drivers code, and I am now just waiting for a mentor to be assigned. I am set to start on 11/18/24 on a Wal-Mart Dedicated account out of Los Lunas, NM. I will have at least 4 weeks of training before going on my own though. I really didn't think they would give me a chance considering my situation, so I am grateful for just the opportunity to start somewhere. Now it's saddle time!

I was also wondering if anyone on here has any thoughts, advice, or experience running out of Los Lunas on a Wal-Mart account? Or Swift in general? Out of all the companies I applied with they have been the first to give me a chance. I know the pay will be low, but I am expecting that to stay until after my first year or so. I am just hoping the miles will be plentiful ; )

One big plus with Swift will be when you decide to move to Gate City, you can probably just transfer and stay with Swift. Many drivers stay with Swift for years or decades.

I was a trainer at Burque Swift terminal. Los Lunas is good move. Its somewhat predictable and stable. Once you have sometime behind you. Several companies do drop n hook there and will be good for getting you home. I worked for Dynamic and would drop, go home, then get cheese load in roswell or clovis.
