I get what you're saying and I already said that they're a decent company, they have the loads and they have the miles, but, like every company, there's some things we don't like about them, and that's where I'm at, the number 1 thing is the driver facing camera, that's a big NO for me, and feel like it's an invasion of privacy, second is their slow *ss trucks. If they would rid of their driver facing camera and bump the trucks' governor to at least 68 MPH, then I wouldn't mind staying for at least 3-4 years. I hope you get where I'm coming from and why I'm not staying.

I get it, I have lytx AI staring me in the face all day, if and when I decide to leave that will be at the top of my list for my reasons to move on.

Nope don't have anything on my record. I heard Cypress has a driving school they hire from, maybe it's just bad timing.

Driver facing cameras suck. Most of the teachers at school hated the idea and spoke out against (privately). I'd rather not but I gotta do what I gotta do as a new driver. We shall see what happens.

if I was given two options I'd pick the company that trust the driver enough not to have a camera

Yeah man, same, and yes they do have a school, so probably bad timing cause I think they always need drivers, every week, there's a bunch of new drivers there going through orientation. I hate drivers facing camera but you gotta do what you have to do to get your foot in the door, the company I wanted to go to when I graduated wanted at least 6 months OTR experience so I'm just getting my experience with them for now, then after a year, I bounce if I can. Like I said before, they're a decent company, they just have something that I don't like, give them a month or two and if you still haven't got with a company yet, try re-applying to them again, you being in Jacksonville, you might even get on their local route if you want to and go home every night.

Did you know that your Google/Apple IOS assistant will perform tasks if given permission to access apps on your mobile device? I use my headset to call, send/read texts and play music/audio books while the front facing camera Lytx tracks my eye movements. There is literally no reason for me to look down at my phone while I drive now. You gotta do what you gotta do for that cheque

I’m not sure if the hiring standards have changed but look at Pritchett, FSCJ seems to be a legit program and maybe there’s a chance they’d bring you on. I’ve worked here for 12 years, I in no way recruit for them or really give any info on them, if you were to get hired and have questions I’m more than willing to answer. Worth a shot at least, I know we’ve hired students in the past but I’m almost certain it’s very limited if any these days.
