I believe I have been to this Walmart DC twice.
Small town, Walmart DC and that's it.
If you see 10-20 Schneider trucks there they are running out of it. There is a small Maint facility also. Other walmart DC's have these OP points, some are JB or Werner, but it's a rarity and I feel Walmart is getting away from it.
Depending on the day/time Schneider OPs can be bizarre. I personally try to stay away from these people if I can help it. Talk to your recruiter first and ask for an appointment to see what you are getting yourself into.

I thought I would raise this Thread from the dead and see if there is any new information that i can find about the Schneider dedicated Wal-Mart Distribution job in Olney, IL.:smt051
I have seen SNI is now taking on recent graduates for this position which was advertised on their site.
Anybody have any recent info on this gig?
TIA! -
its been 2 years you havent try it out yet why??? -
haha...good question
When I originally posted I was on a night shift/low pay/dead end job and wanting to get out bad!
Since then, I was moved to a day shift position (which still bites), Schneider quit their training and the economy tanked! .... so I just held on to my job and wait for some improvement in conditions.
I still want to do this (drive), so I am biding my time for now..... just hanging out bothering folks on this forum.. -
Don't be too surprised if SNI doesn't open up on the training thing again. I've heard and read about them asking for Training "Engineers". Trainers anywhere else, and that could only mean they are thinking of hiring inexperienced drivers. As far as getting your CDL thru them, I haven't heard anything, yet.

I went on an interview at the Gordonsville location. The recruiter I spoke to on the phone told me it was Mon - Fri, Sat and Sun off. At my face to face interview it was different. I didn't see new trucks in the yard, mostly older Freightliners. I found a few discrepencies in what I was told on the phone and what I was told face to face.

Well fooman i just got done with my CDL school and will be going up to greenbay for the 1 week orientation and then 2 weeks with a driver trainer to do the dedicated out of the olney walmart d/c. From my understanding and what i have been told its average 1800-2300 miles a week, it can vary though, out for 5-6 days and home for two. me and a buddy of mine from class are going up next saturday to get going on that account. If your a NEW CDL driver the pay is .31 cents a mile after your 2 week driving training is up. if you have any other questions just post and ill let ya know what i have found out.
