Got thru with orentation on Thursday and got assigned to my truck. Im behind on my post so this is alittle of what went on during the week. There was post to be 19 to start but only 13 showed up to start orientation on monday. On Tuesday one of the guys was sent home then Wensday four more were sent home. Did not here why they were given bus tickets home but this company goes over work history, DAC, and refferences very closely so if you apply i would make sure your app. is accurate and dont try to lie. On Thursday the guys that were left the ones that wanted boots (steel toe) they went to get them, BTC pays up to 82.00 Dollars towards them and deducts 42.00 dollars from check and if you are there a year they will pay rest, not a bad deal. Myself and two other experiance flatbedders were assigned trucks on thursday (2009 Frieghtshakers) and there nothing to brag about but they were clean and decent shape. They due run 65 mph and run good on flat surface but on hills not to good. Thursday i got my first load to pick up at Newcore steel in Memphis Tn going to US steel in Lorain Oh, that has to be there on Sunday before 1500 hours so i was able to stop at the house for a few. Its been good so far but things can change. I spoke to a few BTC drivers and there happy with company and they say that there keeping busy getting the miles. Thats all i have for now and will keep posting.

Just spoke to a recruiter from BTC today. If everything goes well I should be heading to an orientation with them sometime in June. Crossing my fingers!!

Everthing is going good, did not have my computer so could not update. no complaints so far, im pretty pleased with the company. i been averaging about 850 900 bring home and home on weekends unless you want to stay out. I live in ohio and there is a lot of frieght so i can swing by the house a couple times a week to shower and eat and have a little visit with wife and kids. i cant believe the differance it is working with a smaller company than a mega one, its nice to go to the terminal and they know you by first name, thats all i got for now and you guys going to oriontation its a breese just make sure you dont lie on app and let them know up front if you have a criminal or bad work history because u need to have a twick card and if u cant get it they wont hire you. good luck at oriontation.
