May l ask how many miles? How do you know they are worn? Visual inspection or ride and handling issues?

Visual. It’s a ‘87 379. The bolts that run through the spring and bushings are painted blue, same as frame. Probably a bazillion miles.

I do as @Big Road Skateboard said soak em.with PB then I just drive em of with a Pneumatic air hammer with a punch tip..
The gas axe works well I just don't want the smell.of burnt rubber in the shop
Get the bushing from.Peterbilt .. the aftermarket ones aren't any better

You'll notice the washers aren't centered in the spring eye, and the bolt coming up through the frog, the end of the bolt will be closer to the hanger. With good bushings it will be further down.

I’ll probably get them through Pete. I got a family member behind the parts counter.

I will be replacing these too as well. Does anyone suggest a certain brand and is there a difference between rubber and poly as far as longevity goes. I operate mainly around Florida and haul on average 88-92k so nothing extremely heavy. TIA

If they have much age on them the 2 bolts in front are stuck (where alignment shims go). The center vertical bolt right behind them will be stuck. I have tried several times on low air to get my bushings in and washers flush without taking all that mess loose it’s a m’fer. I have found on this truck with air leaf to just torch all the bolts out, pound out the pin with a sledge for 300 bucks a wheel you get pins, bushings, all the bolts the small u bolt and the eye something or other they call it. I have thought it was a frog my whole life but when I mentioned that I got dumb looks.

Goes back together really easy then lol. Check your spring tie bolts too. They were bad to shear the head off on the air leaf suspension

That’s actually what I was planning on doing was just replacing everything in one shot to avoid the headache.

    I appreciate your help!

Can a guy count the alignment shims and put them back the same without getting an alignment, or probably best to align right away?

Sometimes, I always center my steers, then string it from center of steer axle to center of rear drive the square the front drive to the rear. So far that’s always kept me pretty straight.
