my friend you got to hit them in the brain not between the eyes but about an inch or so up , i pour out some buttermilk and while they nice and still larapin that up , pop .

 

They told me to make an X between the eyes and the snout and hit right in the center of the X. Well it made for some endings that would have given a pig lover a case of apoplexy.

 

I was probably 14 years old at the time and we had 3 pigs to butcher. I’ve never shot another one after that traumatic experience lol.

 

theres another old way that im not good at but gran dad was deadly . He would take a sharp pointed knife and hit the juggler and bleed em out then quickly hang em
Up , heart did all the work of bleeding them .
