Where can I get a 2024 Emergency response guidebook today?

I've seen the ERG in MOST truck stops. Not seeing the ERG in one truck stop and then not looking again doesn't confirm no truck stops sell it. They seldom have many ERGs to sell, and the staff at truck stops don't seem especially helpful or careful about anything. And the ERG is a small book so there could me multiple reasons for not seeing it in the truck stop. I know If I thought I might get a $1,000 fine for not having the book I would look HARD to find it. These days being expected to look for it is considered hard by many people under 40. Stores sell out of things and they are re-stocked.

Clipboards are sold at every office supply store (staples, office depot) plus every walmart and on amazon.

Just remember the HM paperwork has to be on top, not hidden away in a compartment of the clipboard. Rather than get a more expensive metal clipboard deep enough to carry the ERG. I would leave the ERG in the door pocket, permanently and buy a $10 plastic clipboard with compartment. You do you

I appreciate your concern, but I would still like to hear from @Ridgeline

One point I would like to address is why the Feds are so tight when it comes to these documents and why they want them carried in a standard manner. In case of a bad accident if the driver is incapacitated the emergency responders need to know what they are facing and they don't have a lot of time to search inside the remains of the pulling unit. Not all hazmat situations are equal.

And while my comment in post #8 may sound glib, I was not attempting to be so. I have a cousin affected by the East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment and is still hurting. Keri's husband has an Aunt and Uncle live about 10 miles east and only about 200 feet from those NS tracks. Keri's husband told me a while back they still get nervous when they hear a train.

On another note, I think I have seen the metal clipboards @Ridgeline is referring to. They are nice!

This is similar to what i carried for hazmat loads. Put the ERG and the paperwork in them and hang on the wing window latch. Of course, trucks don't have wing windows anymore, nor do they have window cranks so i don't know where you would hang on the drivers door. It just made it convenient for me as everything was there in one place.
