Has anyone transferred their License from one state to another while still in the current or old state ?
im currently in TN but i am relocating to TX soon. Most jobs that are actually calling me back are telling they would only hire me if i have a Texas state license first... So far, ive been doing my research and i plan to use a virtual ( real physical address ) address with iPostal1 . im curious if anyone has done this yet as far as with a CDL .. is DPS strict with addresses ? im reading on DPS site that they deny, revoke, or suspend texas CDLs for "falsifying information on CDL applications"
EDIT : the plan is to get 2 proofs of residency sent to the mail box, go to their dmv with that and get a Texas issued license
any advice ?
Transferring TN CDL to a TX CDL ?

You can get a legal physical address with Escapees RV Club. This is legal for your CDL.

Bet. I was just reading about that site earlier Reddit. As long as it’s legit for our commercial licenses.

It is because it's a physical address and you'll receive your mail there alsoCmpact Thanks this.

Dont you have to actually reside there ? it will be your mailing address.

You can use your out of state license here for 30 days. Most companies will give you that time to get moved and get a Texas license.

Physical address means you reside there, even if you travel 365 days a year. You'll have to register your vehicle there also to make it legal.
