What if it Snows?

Should be that simple..... But by the time the bureaucracy gives the approval for a controlled burn it tends to get even more out of control.

There were several "controlled burns" when the military was prepping to hand Fort Ord back that got way out of control. Only reason it didn't make the national news was because it was just acres of brush over old gun and mortar ranges, not houses.

Better bet would be homeless labor to weed the peoples yards. That area the home owners should have payment for that in their budgets. And/or part of the property taxes.

Laundry day. Going to mess with power steering pump on the 230k mile car. Put new one on yesterday and it leaks. Going with a new o ring. I might just get a new car. Like 6 years old 50k mile type car.

 

I’m to the point I let the professionals handle it. I tired of going back and redoing my work several times for the same thing. Being doing that most of my life. That’s just me.

 

I'm by myself. I live in a small town. It's a hassle to drop off and ask the mechanic to give you a ride. But I agree with you.

I hardly put any miles on the car, so it's kind of pointless to get another one. But I'm going to at some point.

 

You missed the main reason for no ocean water use. The cited two, one was the corrosive effects on the internals of the fire fighting equipment, BUT......
The lingering effects of the saltwater remaining on the delicate ecological system....

You put out the fire and wait for any damage....
You wait for apparent damage while the city burns to ashes....

Observation: They have waited a little too long to decide on using the salt water or not....
