I am leased with Marten and havent had a problem getting at least 3000 miles a week. I havent heard that many complaints from their drivers either. Their dispatching seems to be organized most of the time, but NOT all the time. If Marten will take you I would stick it out 2 weeks and then get assigned your own truck. Marten pays automatic detention 2 hours after appt. Ive gotten as much as 300.00 a month just for sitting, but most of their shippers dont have a long wait. I live in the Dallas,tx area and get by the house almost every week. I go thru chicago nearly once a week too. Check them out. Good luck.

Marten has a good rep and to tell you the truth I have not heard many if anything negative about the blue dove. But there are always a few malcontents.

It might be worth to run team for 2 weeks to be evaluated to be put on there.

Marten Transport dont pay layover pay if u r shut down due 2 snow,iv sat 3 dys in an ice storm, the shipper wouldnt open there doors due 2 the weather,so i sat there 3 dys without a cent,Marten is a cheap company,u have 2 buy your own prepass, when its time 4 your trk 2 get serviced thats not a priority 2 them u could b out 4 wks b4 they get u 2 a shop, and after u get 2 a shop, good luck nobody is qualified 2 give your trk a thorough e- service, this is a sorry company period.

You have to buy your own turnpike prepass? How much does that run?

Can you take it with you if you flee them later?

Just sounds like another driver that wouldn't be happy anywhere he goes. And the thing with the prepass its the scale prepass that you have to pay for, they pay all tolls except the skyway. And as far as layover there must of been something he isnt telling becouse I have recieved all the layover that I was supposed to.

    so, you're currently at Marten?
would they maybe deny you layover pay if there was a disagreement on how "safe" driving conditions were?

I have been on workers comp. for the last year but when I left they used to pay almost automatic, but I have been an O/O for the last 6 years.maybe they do things different for co.drivers.just don't want to speculate to much, don't know his situation.
