In the post right above this one you said your “expert trainer” also taught people to get in the left lane going 1mph faster to pass a truck. Creating a rolling roadblock for miles wouldn’t be considered going fast enough to pass the other truck by most of the other motoring public. If he did it to other people then he doesn’t really have the right to complain when it happens to him.
What important skills of truck driving did you learn after your first year of trucking?

Think about this when another truck is struggling to pass you. He was going fast enough to catch up with you on the interstate, but now can't pass. The reason is, when he got into the passing lane beside you he's now picking up headwind, some coming from your truck. This can slow him by a couple miles per hour. Let off the gas and let him pass and soon you'll see that truck moving on ahead of you and running faster than you. Your trainer should have taught that to you.

Our industry is full of trainers "held in high esteem" by people in the offices who haven't a clue. Idiots, trained by idiots, who were trained by idiots... Ad nauseum
Add to that all the drivers who went thru this training system who never bother to think things through for themselves. It's always "my trainer told me...". That marks a driver as an idiot as much as saying "I was following my GPS!"born&raisedintheusa, Feedman, Sirscrapntruckalot and 7 others Thank this. -

You just made that up. A semi-truck in the right lane does not cause a headwind in the hammer lane. -
