I drop the trailer at home then bobtail up to Five Star every weekend no matter what the weather is going to do. Going in bobtail they do a pretty good job of getting most of the salt off the frame.

 

The people in the wash bay clean them before being issued to another driver

 

I wash mine more in the winter. You don’t want that crap on your truck any longer than it has to be. Unless you just like corrosion and wiring problems.

 

Haven't been along 90 or 94 from WA to MN in a month or so. Definitely ready for spring after this trip.

 

They just changed the fuel card limits for DEF. The plan is supposed to be you can only get 5 gallons at a time on the road so guys will fill it at the terminals.
It isn’t quite working right yet when I tried to fill this morning with the pump in the CB yard it cut me off at 5 gallons and would not let me restart it. Hopefully the Fremont pump is in the system correctly.
Night dispatch had no idea what was going on so once my DM got in I called in and found out about the policy change .
It sucks because I was very low so 5 gallons still left me low. So don’t let it get too low is the new plan I guess. Kinda stinks that on this trip I’m going to be having to buy some every day and hope I can keep the needle out of the red until I get back to Fremont or CB (if they have CB working by then).

 

Just curious has anyone here ever asked for a new driver manager.

 

Savannah, Ga the location changed so much no longer fast unload or reload it's a ####ty place to deliver. The change is very inconvenient.

 

well when i run out of DEF because i don’t get by a terminal, i hope they like paying the cost of a road call. On these new Freightliners i can’t run out to GA or CA and back on a full tank of DEF

 

In all fairness 5 gallons is going to get you roughly 800 miles.
