Nope the end was before then. I had worked there from 1995 until 2000. It was in end of summer 2000 that we got informed that Dick Simon was being sold to Central Refrigerated if the negotiating went good which at the end of October was pretty much 95% agreed upon. I did my research and found that Central was pretty much Swift related so I bailed out. The massive cost overrun at the new Atlanta Terminal help run the company into bankruptcy. I remember in the Summer of 2000 bobtailing from the main base in Utah to help move the trailers in Milwaukee, Or cause the facility there was closing. My final truck was a 1999 Century that had a clutch with an auto shift transmission. Miss that company, really enjoyed it there. Met King once at the main yard, hell of a nice guy. Was sad to hear he passed.plant, Speed_Drums, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -

There was a 50-year-old man and young boy who died from apparent and self-inflicted gunshot wounds in 2021 their house was s club drive in Sandy Utah. No names were given though in the news report
King died in 2021 his last address was on s club drive in Sandy Utah. He would have been 50 in 2021.
Take that for what you will but that's the only information I can find about any deaths.
The number given in the news report is 9040 and Kings last own address is 9041 but either one of those could be a typoSpeed_Drums Thanks this.
