Apparently they have a new law since October that you have to get it tested every 6 months and it costs over $100 before you go to California. So FCC recommends me just relay.

I do remember there was something passed a while back, but didn't think it had gone into effect, and thought it was only for older trucks.

Safety confirmed it so it's a thing company trucks they have tested at the yard with a mobile service I guess.

My guess is a few trucks got inspected and shut down in the state so they have to let you know before you go to get it checked otherwise we are on the hook for the fine.

I’m not saying it’s forced compliance, just stating what the rule is. I’m sure at some point they’ll go after the guys who show Cali miles on their IFTA but aren’t in the computer for paying their fee.rokue and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.
