What's the secret to getting a dock job ? I applied about a month ago for both part time and full time, also applied for a driving position but I really didn't expect to get called for it since I don't have any recent driving exp. I have a good work record, 18 yrs perfect attendance on my last job and some forklift exp. as well.

Stop by and say hi and check on the status of your application once a week,...............I was to far away to stop in so I called once a week,..I was offered a job with ConWay,....4 weeks after I started at my current employer!!!,....

Things still worked out in my world for me,.....

 

2002 and 2003. Ran flatbed in the Northeast dispatched out of Marshfield - ran NYC, Philly, and Boston 99% of the time.

I wonder how much has changed - it was OTR but a lot better than most back then but I wasn't shedding any tears when I turned my truck into the Gary terminal.. Decent learning experience but no way in hell would I do it again..lol..

 

Called Roehl this morning, they are not hiring out of Arizona either, she said they won't put you through their school if they can keep you busy. At least they were upfront and did not want to just take my money for school.
