Dude 40 isn't old. Companies like mature responsible drivers who can see the job through. The best drivers are patient and wise.

I started when I was 44, 40 is certainly not old, even 56 is still young by today's standards.

    Steinbach eh? Beautiful little town.

You got a couple decent sized trucking companies around there. Big Freight runs some decent looking iron, no idea what they're like to work for. With Winnipeg right up the road there's tons of trucking outfits. Just gotta do your research and weed out the scab companies.

No I wouldn’t do Amazon delivery. I was thinking more down the line of a full size box truck. Many of them don’t require a CDL. Of course if it’s something you feel quite sure of just go for it.

I personally wouldn’t get into trucking right now with these tariffs coming. I think trucking is going to be really bad in the future

I would recommend getting your CDL but I would get a local job instead of anything requiring overnights in the truck. OTR/Regional/Interstate Transportation is not a good path for the foreseeable future IMO.
