You must have a 9400.... Junk trucks, nothing to do with the company... We stopped buying Internationals cause they are plagued with problems..
As far as home being within 50 miles... If you don't live there, change your address with the company.. Rules are no hotel or layover if within 50 miles of your home town because more than likely, drivers are going home anyway. So, them not putting you up is the rules and they have to abide by them. It's not their fault you haven't changed your address. That is up to YOU to do as soon as you move. If you haven't moved yet, then why are you complaining?
My honest, no BS, opinion of P.A.M.

As far as the 17 mile run.... As long as it's under 100 miles total (deadhead and loaded), you can get a PO for 25.00... Just ask for your shuttle pay.

I have had adventure since last we talked. Finally finished a nearly 1800 mile run after over 24 hour time out for turn signal/4 way trouble. Turned out to be rubbing wires against metal under the hood.
Now I'm on a weekend Mass to Maryland run. About 2 hours from Hagerstown with a day and 2 nights to go.
Both of these runs have my GVW at 77K plus a bit. Chugs up hills a might slow.
Still beats the alternative with my experience. -
My Truck is an 08 prostar and they have been talking EGR for over 30 days truck been down over 15 days this month, low pay and low miles with shop time and layover pay that was taken from patcheck makes for unhappy driver

15 days out of 30 and you didn't ask for another truck? Oh wait, you probably asked your DM and stopped there... It gets so tiring seeing people complain about stuff but not take any real incentive to make their situation better...
How hard is it to pick up a phone? If you don't know the right person to talk to, ask other drivers. Someone knows... If you let the company push you around, they will... Stand your ground.. If you don't get the answer you want from your direct boss, go above him/her to the next level. Find out who handles the trucks (David) and see if he can do anything. Talk to Norma and see what she can do... -

My '06 CenturyST will win no contests, but at 533K it's kickin' along well.
Now I'm stuck in Hagerstown, MD. Have gotten two service messages since sending empty at consignee and "Let's Boogie!!"
I will have to ask for a different truck soon. It's gonna get too hot not to idle and this truck has opti-idle which to me is as bad or worse than trying to sleep in trainer's truck. -
Stevens Transport called today and wanted me to start Sunday said I would soon so its going to be so long PAM

Today finds me in Wisconsin. At 19:30 I pick up a trailer in Franklin and get it to Salem, IL by 03:00. Not much of a trip, but every little bit helps. And I'm showing my willingness to do what they ask.
