Risks of letting someone run under my authority

That just screams bad news to me.

 

Dispatch team overseas? Why didn’t you just say he was from India to start?

 

Collecting your customer info and underbidding you later?

 

His angle is he thinks you’re stupid. He’s throwing X’s and O’s out there, decimal points and dollar signs and percentage. “Oh, you get 6% per truck!” What percentage of the risk do you get using YOUR numbers?

Now, I am curious…how do you know this guy? A friend? Friend of a friend? Some dude that saw you had trucks and your own authority and called you up? Does he have the same area code on his phone number as you, or different?

 

Is this a real post or are you just bored? If you own the authority why is someone else dictating who does what? I understand negotiations.There’s a lot of information you didn’t post like what is his o/o paying majority of insurance if you are only keeping 5% they would be paying all the cost to insure there truck,who’s providing trailer for you just to keep 5% I’m guessing they are providing there own trailer he’s absolutely not keeping 6% for his dispatch service.If his dispatch service is so good at getting high revenue freight the higher revenue is enough if you’re only keeping 5%.I personally don’t think there’s anything wrong with you expanding your business but I think you should be the one making decisions so if it did fail at least you don’t have anyone to blame but you not somebody else.

 

So this guy holds all the cards and controls everything while he ruins your reputation and drives your insurance experience model up so high you will have the utmost hard time ever getting insurance again while he still had his own authority and insurance looking pristine....

Not just planning to screw you, think how many others he's sweet-talked into bankruptcy; it sounds like he should be selling saunas in Saudi Arabia.....

 

IGNORE what he says. What does his actions tell you?
If he has his own authority and you have yours, but he’s in the hot seat and can’t use his, why do you think he will safeguard yours? Ignore the words, look at the actions.

 

I was gonna ask if this was a foreigner .
