Trucker intentionally drops 2,000 gallons of fuel

I'm missing something I guess. What could the possible benefit be to dumping fuel instead of returning it? Surely there's an accounting somewhere for how many gallons were loaded versus delivered.

I guess my question is "Why did that ####### think dumping fuel on the roadway was the better option?"

Never hauled fuel before.
