No worries bro . I know what u meant and it is backwards .. lol I will say a guy can only do it this way if securing with rope/bungee cord .. regular bungees don't get tight enough and will catch wind underneath it.
i always had a problem with the sides ballooning out when I would do it the correct way and this seems to have fixed that problem

I just pulled a tarped load today that was ballooning right at the front. I always do it backwards of how you had it and I figured I’d try your way, but I always use bungee cords so may not work.

Finally got a nice long haul to enjoy, picked up reels in SC and taking them to OR. It’s been nice to have something on the deck for a few days and just drive, it’ll be interesting to see how they route me back east :).

If u can get the bungee fairly tight it will be ok . Just if u hit a cross wind it's going to catch a but of wind amd start ballooning

is that 12 full sized chains + 12 binders on that load? I've never done those.

It is, this is an inter company transfer load so the reels are heavy and a single chain would have been borderline so hey a little more weight lifting never hurts right lol.

ya, big time. The shipper put little tiny 2x4s segments under a variety of different sized bundles. Placed in order of the 3 drops. Not ideal. The best I could think of was to add 3 opposing choke straps to help cinch it together and add a bulkhead. It made it to Oregon no problem.
