my opinion is simple, this memo should be nullified and the regulation enforced to the point of losing the cdl. States also should he put on notice not to allow the tests in any other language but English.
I also know two shippers who will refuse to allow a driver who can not speak English on their property, one explained that last year a driver used an app at the guard shack, and the driver got really pissed when the guard refused to speak into it, thinking he was being recorded.Siinman and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
I lived in Arkansas for 33 years. They just say, “can you read this for me? I don’t have my glasses.” As far as speaking English they’ll be ok as long as it isn’t proper English.
