    ##### dude. You drive right up to the 12 hr limit. I get nervous when I'm down to an hr.

That was just an anomaly :)

Charlotte, NC to Yamhill, OR with only 4 days to run because the broker couldn’t get it booked on the original pickup. Paid well so I pulled up my big boy pants and got R done :)

I’m content just running 8 hours average a day. But sometimes I find a team load that I just can’t resist, lol

ATS out of St Cloud,MN. If you want to OTR without a home base, that’s where you go. They will have you in Canada and the Territories and Alaska. Word of warning: Stay company schmuck. Company drivers make more than lease at ATS. One of the biggest mistakes I see drivers make is that they go lease for a couple years then go heavy haul once again as a company schmuck. Stay company. Make your money and then go heavy haul in a few years.

Also, those truckers in the Territories and northern Canada are rugged as hell. Don’t complain about anything.

    Luck in battle.

    What he said.....

Especially as a first-year driver -- your transition into the trucking world will be much easier......if you start out with a carrier that has a terminal with a repair shop within a few hours driving distance of your current residence.

    Work smarter -- NOT harder.....o_O
