Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

They do, but only for local. At least according to this listing on their site. Everything else is 3 months minimum. Nearest local listed with them is about an hour away.

You watch so much TV you cannot focus on non-TV info. Even in a deep recession individuals get jobs. You only need 1 job. TV will have an endless supply of excuses to never work. TV is not trying to help you but only get you addicted to watching TV because it helps TV advertisers.Gearjammin' Penguin, Sons Hero and CalculatedRisk Thank this.

Employment Situation Summary - 2025 M03 Results
Non-farm payroll increased by 4.2%. TV is less reliable than a crazy man talking to himself on a corner in public. -
It's not 1960 anymore.

A while back -- I left the regular employment world for several years...to be a parent's full-time caregiver.
Later on....after I acquired my CDL....no one was willing to hire me (including Swift, Knight, TMC, & McElroy)....except Schneider.
Yes...Schneider gave me a chance...even when others would not.
Since then...I have pulled loads for:
- dry van
- intermodal
- reefer
- gasoline & diesel
What's the point here?
Sometimes carriers can overlook/pass up a worthwhile candidate...who simply needs a chance to show their true colors...due to certain hiring criteria in place...at a given point in time.
The thinking here is...if you have no recent regular employment....no one else will probably hire you (that is worthwhile) -- except Schneider.
Schneider does indeed have the freight to keep you busy. That's a fact.
Their Dallas terminal is relatively new...& it's nice.
It's probably a great place to get started in the CDL world.
But....be warned...if Schneider does in fact later hire you -- be sure to bring your "A game"...with you.
Schneider will expect A LOT out of you...& in a hurry.
The real question here is: are you up for the challenge?

Footnote: Yes....the current (as I write this) tariff situation makes things look shakey...& uncertain.
But....if you wait for "perfect" conditions -- you may never get behind the wheel of a big rig.
I would submit....with all due respect....that Schneider's freight base is now so big....& so diverse....& has so many different customers....that if you were part of their fleet...you could stay busy.
You might later have to do an internal transfer to a different account...or even to a different type of freight (which I did while I was there -- it's no big hassle, really)...but you could indeed stay busy.
Anyway....just some food for thought.

That's why I posted stats from last month.Lonesome Thanks this.

Exactly. "Walter Cronkite" is no longer announcing Truth. Some far-left activist, fired from a far left magazine, is telling you The Daily Narrative sponsored by Pfizer to reward Pfizer & shareholders.Gearjammin' Penguin and JB7 Thank this.
