We seem to be waiting longer for loads lately, is it industry wide. Normally I get preplans before I send a empty call, lately sometime 24 or so hoursw before getting next load. Just curious if this is a industry thing already.
I'am sure the ploitical arena has much to do with freight slowing. Any thought as to whats our immediate future in the industry.

Kinda the reverse for me. Loads are starting to pick up on my end. As for general freight in boxes and vans. A lot of that is the massive over capacity you guys got going on atm. A TON of drivers flooded the market 19-22 when rates went bonkers due to covid. And a lot of them took on insanely overpriced truck loans. So now that freight is dropping back to normal levels you have floods of these new truckers slitting each others throats in a race to the bottom trying to stay 1 step ahead of the repo man. Doesnt help we had 800k odd CDLs injected into an already saturated market either.

Give it a couple years for a lot of the flybynights to go belly up and a lot of the morons to wreck out and things will get back to normal.

It’s hit or miss lately. I’ve not done my regular runs since last of January.
    I’m sure someone undercut rate.
They didn’t wanna run 80 in the winter so then I get all I want.

Same here. Hell, we were busy all winter and now we’re having trouble keeping up.

It is slower than pre-covid for me, but I'm still able to make a living. Just gotta cut out some indulgences.

My phone isn't ringing nearly as much for new or random business or "here and there" LTL, but my regular customers have been maintaining the workload of the past 6 months or so. There's nothing left at the end of the month, but Im still able to hit the magic number to look after my family, truck, and keep the fridge is full.

Lots of uncertainty surrounding the tariff stuff and our federal election later this month. I've got no LTL booked for the coming week yet but that won't be concerning until end of day Monday... usually it all comes together by then.
