Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

The amount of crap the city waste money on is crazy. And I only know about one department of a small city government. I can only imagine what the federal government does.

When you have one department that has 5x the number of employees than we have citizens. The waste has to be massive.

 

No big hardship for us as we were able to get some other contracts to fill the time. It's been a good lesson.

Not as bad as deadheading 500 miles to get a load that cancels!

 

Exactly. Shortsightedness doesn't only affect one's eyes.

That is how I got into the industry. I worked at coca cola as a shelf stocker. Never had an intention to get a CDL. They needed a B driver so I stepped up and they did basic training. Then a few years later they needed an A driver so I did it all over again. I don't know where I would be today if those opportunities didn't come up. I was actually happy earning 14.50 an hour back then but I was only 20 years old. I probably have the back of a 45 year old at the age of 33 but I don't regret working there.

I knew majority of cross country automotive freight is moved by Canadian companies, but did not know 80% of all freight if moved by them.
Seems like our freight market is gonna be messed up, but Canadians will have it way worse

Sounds like Canada is gonna need a new trucking sector by the time they become the 51 state.
