Slight change of plans. I noticed a little oil on the bottom of the reefer pan when I picked this load up, which isn't unusual. But when I shut down last night, I noticed some oil on my truck frame, so I planned on calling breakdown this morning and either finding a shop after getting empty, or just have them send me to Indy and drop the trailer so they could fix it in a company shop. The compressor had a main seal leaking and the oil level was down to the MIN line when it was running. I called breakdown before going to the delivery because this is what it looked like this morning

Due to the amount of oil on my truck frame, breakdown said take it to the dealer immediately for fear that the oil level might cause the unit to shut down before I got empty. So now I am 20 miles away from my delivery sitting at the Carrier dealer. Ahhh the joys of hauling reefer trailers

-....it appears that they are indeed repairing the trailer, so who knows how long that load will be without refrigeration. Fortunately it's not a frozen load but a 50° chilled load.

Got to the Carrier dealer around 8:45, tech said it was definitely the input shaft seal, but still had adequate oil in it, so no damage. Got it repaired and leaving by 15:30. Delivery customer will take my load up to 19:00. Also got my next load. Pick up in Belvedere IL to Henderson NC for Thursday. Will put me right at 3300 miles for the week.

to let you know about Belvedere If it’s americold….. if your load is a frozen load, you will go to the imron address if that’s what is on your pp… if yours is a cooler load at 34° you will go to 977 Landmark Dr. which is a couple streets down from imron… if you’re picking up late at night when Americold is closed.. you will pick up at the drop lot on morreim Dr which is off of Townhall Road and US 20… There is a brand new Walmart DC being built there for reference where you have to turn on town hall… Thought I’d pass this information on you so you don’t waste an hour or more of your time going to the wrong place and being sent to another and then another

It has the Imron address but I haven't seen the load info yet to tell what it is.

Is it just the air bags doing their job? Inflating and deflating depending on the road surface. Rough road more inflating and deflating to provide a smother ride

If it's on there, it needs to work. It's like a truck with a gazillion chicken lights, if one is out, it's an equipment violation. And an anal retentive DOT cop will write it up, especially if he/she can't find any other issues.

But, I need to find out why it started blowing, but only after the truck has been off for more than 5 or 10 minutes. If I leave the key in the ACC position or have the opti-idle on, it doesn't do it, even if the batteries don't get down low enough to start the truck to charge them. I have checked all the grounds and positive connections I can see without crawling around on the ground and nothing is amiss.

I don’t know if i have a very slow air leak somewhere or if it’s normal. Parked my truck Friday night. When I went to leave this evening, both air tanks were at 70. Governor kicks off at 125. When i first got this truck it never did that. It would hold air for days, maybe dropping only a little bit
