I'm currently at PAM dispatched out of Ohio. It's a little better than Arkansas except I had a string of live loads and unloads that were nightmares. When I was with my mentor we only had 2 or 3 in 18 days. Paying below slave pay I'm just grinding it out getting more experienced. I feel I have talent but that don't mean #### job hunting.
How do ypu think they blocked you from other jobs should I keep an eye out for shenanigans?

Live loads suck unless you get luck on your side. Too many variables with some lazy morons sprinkled in for good measure. Don't forget "It's break time". Or "Everyone is in a meeting". Or my personal favorite "We can't find El Jefe anywhere." You can get lucky and be in and out, but you can't make money waiting on people that are paid hourly.
iamck74, mjd4277 and Knucklehead Thank this. -
Fuel Optimization Programs do pick the fuel stops, and the price you see at the Pump or on an App isn't the same price the carrier is paying. We have been over this with our drivers many times who think ignoring the Fuel Optimization is ok because the Love's was 2 cent cheaper than the Pilot you wanted to send me to. When in reality the price we would have paid on was probably closer to .50-.75 cent cheaper on the gallon. The Fuel Optimization programs all look at the billed route to the customer and stops along that route, with companies able to control acceptable OOR distance, acceptable Fuel discount difference, If to send multiple solutions based on route, Alternate solution based on drivers route and not billed out, and some other factors. But at the end of the day the price you see at a truck stop or app means jack #### to the company because that isn't the fuel price for the company.
