    Today's gripes for the day...

#1. Has anyone used the updated scanning part of the Creaffer app lately? Mine forced me to update. Now when you scan in a trip, it saves the pages to your gallery on your phone, as well as to the T-flow app's transmit buffer, so now I have to remember to delete all the extra ########

#2. And why does the system warn you about not parking in any of the crime ridden truckstops in W. Memphis when you aren't routed thru there? (When I did go thru there, it didn't say a peep). I am picking up in Chattanooga going to Hazleton, PA...nowhere thru Memphis. Other times I have gone up 24 out of Crashville, but yet it still warns me...

#3. Does anyone elses Drivewyze constantly quit? 3 or 4 times a week I have to go into the apps screen and restart it. A couple times I have had to clear it's cache in order to get it to get the services tabs back off of being grayed out.

Whining segment over, feeling a little closer to normal now

What if you don’t have enough book time to run 200 miles after pickup?

My driveways does that also. Have to turn the WiFi off and connect to my phone then reconnect to the peoplenet for it to work

You just have to refuse the load (most of those shippers have secure overnight parking, so you don't have to leave right away)

You talk with dispatch ahead of time. Provided you can still make on time delivery, generally the answer is "don't pick up until tomorrow ".

Or you stop at a secured facility- either a company yard or some other gated/camera location.

Most times you really only need 100 miles, but the driver is told 200 to hopefully get the 100 in.

For issue #1 do you ever upload pictures from your gallery? If not I bet you could fix that issue by turning off the apps permission for the camera roll.

this is why I prefer PrePass. No app ######## to deal with. Just a standard transponder

Driveways is free on a lot of these elogs. I know it’s free on peoplenet at least at my company that’s why they switched. When driveways works its better. You get bypasses on these rest areas/ portable in ND SD and many other other states

I got tired of it. I found the best way to prevent it is to do a complete sign out and reboot and full sign in prior to performing pretrip. Takes about 4 minutes total. That's when I'm drinking my morning coffee and making final trip plans. When reboot and login is complete, then I switch to on duty for PTI. Do that every morning and within a week, it becomes habit and issues generally go away.

Once in a while, issues are due to server issues at trimble or drivewyze due to bad updates. That's when I call them and I'm informed it's not the tablet but the servers. It may take them several hours to a week to roll out a patch.

About 6 months ago, my drivewyze was down for over a week. Kept calling them and they kept telling me it was a drivewyze issue and they were working on it.

Just do a reboot every morning and you'll find most issues go away. I do that with most of my electronics anyway, especially Android based equipment.
