40k# on a flatbed? 47,000+30,600 = 77,600. Looks like they loaded you too far back and obviously it weighed more than 47k#.ElmerFudpucker, hope not dumb twucker, MidWest_MacDaddy and 1 other person Thank this.

That wouldn't even work on a spread axle setup.Friend, hope not dumb twucker, Knucklehead and 2 others Thank this.

they did load too far back, and had it 1300 over gross.
I didn’t even attempt to split weigh it once I saw the trailer weight. Went back to the shipper to get it fixed. They removed one bundle from the rear of the load, and even then, allegedly, the trailer weighed 39440. Splitting axles at 19300 and I don’t remember the rear axle. Strangely my calculator isn’t working either.Friend, IH9300SBA, hope not dumb twucker and 2 others Thank this. -
I haven't been to that pilot in YEARS. The stop is bad enough, but they get more than their share of idiot truck drivers in there, just making things inconvenient. If it wasn't for the BBQ joint across the street, I would never go to the Loves in Ina, IL for the same reason, unless I had to get fuel there.Friend, MidWest_MacDaddy, hope not dumb twucker and 1 other person Thank this.

I don't find that BBQ joint to be all that great. How good can it be when their trophy they display says 9th place in the county cook off? Now 9th place in the nationals? I'm there!
Soulman's wasn't all that hot either, literally. I musta hit them on one of the off days where they didn't cook. Now, if I get BBQ on a day other than Fri or Sat, I ask the waitress if they cooked that day. Tired of spending $30 on dry ribs.Friend, Goody3635, MidWest_MacDaddy and 4 others Thank this. -
Picked up at our friends at McKinley Paper in Prewitt, NM the other day and now I'm a couple timezones over delivering in Lebanon, IN. Then I'm going 4 hours into Ohio to pick up what I'm assuming will be plastic totes going to Home Depot in Topeka...assuming I ever get unloaded here that is
-
Just my luck. Get my paperwork finished and ready to leave and a local backs into the facility to pick up some box cars. Oh well, I guess we all have jobs to do
Friend, Goody3635, hotrod1653 and 2 others Thank this. -
If the railroad industry didn't have dismal job projections, I'd be in that industry, not this one. I like trains more than trucks

I try to stop there when driving by. They don’t fuel me at Ina anymore, unfortunately as I prefer Loves, but the bbq is worth a stop. Grab a meal and a pound of pulled pork for the road.
I think it was a bit better before the fire but the new place is coming into its own. New addition and got their beer license now too (two beer limit) but I can’t take advantage of it during a quick stop n go.
I like their Mango Heat sauce. Have you tried their Pickled BBQ Sauce? It’s a bit too “unique” for me as it’s like a pickle juice base… lol
Lady there is always friendly and talkative too.Friend and Knucklehead Thank this.
