I swear, trying to get thru to a specific person in Lincoln is like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded with one hand tied behind your back. Finally got thru the maze of auto response choices and got thru to a real person in safety only to find out that the lady that called me the other day is out of the office today, so they sent me to the person that is covering for her...and of course I got voicemail. So now I waste more time sitting and staring at the phone waiting for it to ring.
I think it would have been easier to hit something, and then when I called to report it I could have said "while I have you on the phone....."
Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

Well my day may be going to crap. I was indeed selected for a random. Columbus actually sent me to the clinic down the street instead of doing mine in the office because there were already some drivers ahead of me. It ended up working out because I was done and back in the office before the other drivers were done. Then it all went downhill from there
I picked up my load, but the guy in the office said that the load needs to be in continuous mode. The b/l didn't say continuous, they just said maintain -1. I msg'd the new chick and told her what they said at the shipper, but she never changed it in the system...and I got sick of waiting and rolled on out. Between Washington Courthouse and Jeffersonville a 4-wheeler kicked up what I think was a chunk of gator and it smacked my passenger side windshield, cracking it
So I pulled into the T/A here in Jeffersonville and called the accidents department. They processed a claim number, but then transferred me to breakdown to get a repair order in the system and it's up to them to decide if I am safe(or legal) to finish my load. Claims said she had a driver hit a bird and it spiderwebbed his windshield so bad he had to be towed.Knucklehead, hope not dumb twucker, hotrod1653 and 5 others Thank this. -

Just called into breakdown to see if they got the pictures of my windshield and to see if they made a decision...the automated operator says there are 7 callers ahead of me. I guess the low budget dollar store equipment they buy is breaking down in mass quantities...I may just head to Columbus and park it there and take the graydog to the house... Columbus has plenty of U-store-it places I could access to store my crap until I get on with someone else.

Never heard a word back from breakdown about a decision on this windshield damage. So I am making the executive decision to proceed with the load and if they don't like it, they can fire me. I am sick of this whole propaganda b.s. about us being "the most valuable asset". Any 'give a crap' for the driver stops at the terminal level of management. Based on how things have gone, it's my opinion, I don't think the management in Lincoln care any more about the drivers than a frog cares about what day it is. They're like a frog and only care about their own existence. Drivers are just meat in the seat. I don't know why I expected any thing to be different here, the rich get richer and the drivers get ignored or forgotten about.
