Sorry to disappoint but much less than 5 years as a fleet driver. Just want to do my own thing and be my own boss. The older I get (62) the less crap I'm willing to take. Have some $$ put aside that will allow me to buy a truck and not deal with crap. There is a fleet guy that wants to quit and said he would come with me so we can do team.

I think @Knightcrawler rig looks like a much better option for you than any Cascadia money could ever buy. I have bought cheap on a number of occasions, and if you intend to run it full time, it’s just not worth it. You can pay a lot up front, and pay a little for ongoing maintenance, or, you can pay the absolute minimum, drop thousands in maintenance, and still have a ragged out POS. I have done both, and I know which was more stressful for me! Unless you only work part time, and are very handy with tools and mechanics, I would decidedly NOT buy that 20k Cascadia. You’d be better off with an ‘80s-90s era solid steel truck, they are worth rebuilding, a plastic truck isn’t.

THIS is the kind of one owner truck w/backround & documentation I would look out for if ever buying used.

You're better off buying the cheapest truck you can find that fits your needs then plan on a rebuild of the power and drive trains and expensive emissions components. Repair it when it breaks.
Buying from a failing OO is no better than buying from an auction. It's too easy to falsify records and DOT inspections are a joke.
I'd be more worried about sourcing a contracted source of well paying freight because the spot market is just going to eat you and your equipment alive anyway without it.edmachi Thanks this. -
Hello Ridgeline, what kind of info is missing? I agree dealer is expensive. This is where Freightliner sends their used to trucks as per sales agent at my local freightliner dealer. In my mind there is value to the 125, 000 /12 month warranty. Probably do that mileage before the year is over.

One of our “Esteemed” members (@Dave_in_AZ ) left a truck at a dealership and had mentioned if one was interested, if you had 60k, it was yours.
